Fated

Another commission for a regular client of mine. This was an interesting one!

A fated meeting between Elementals - A Lion of Water and a Bee of Wind.

I struggled initially thinking of a composition for this. It hit me so suddenly, the idea of peering through the mouth of a cave, the waterfall running overhead and at the forefront of the image, leading you in to the lion at first, and then up to the bee.

The sky was initially pale but dark, foreboding colours crept in whilst I painted, lending an air of foreboding to a meeting not for prying eyes.
